Power-Pop favorites Fountains of Wayne recently completed overdubs for a new project at Ante Up Audio with owner/chief engineer Michael Seifert. Lead singer/guitarist Chris Collingwood, bassist Adam Schlesinger, and guitarist Jody Porter were all in attendance. Much to our staff’s disappointment, Stacy’s mom was a nowhere to be found.
"Ante Up is a world-class studio with a great, professional staff and awesome gear. We had a really good time working there," said bassist Adam Schlesinger of the band’s experience at AUA.
Best known for their hit single “Stacy’s Mom” FOW has been delivering consistently excellent records since the mid 90s. Schlesinger has also composed songs for movies including “That Thing You Do”, “Josie and the Pussycats”, and “Music and Lyrics”. The band is currently on tour in support of their latest effort, Traffic and Weather.
