Cleveland, OH: Ante Up Audio, Cleveland’s own professional recording studio, will present its first “Ante Up Audio Artist Showcase” Saturday, October 28th. The showcase will take place in both the Beachland Ballroom and Tavern and will display local musical acts who have recorded at Ante Up Audio’s studios.
Featured in this event are Cleveland’s veteran underground rockers, Cobra Verde who recently appeared in an episode of Fox’s “The O.C.,” as well as Scene Magazine’s nomination for “Best New Artist of 2006,” Cactus 12. Also lending their talents to the night’s entertainment are Mr. Gnome, Minor Setback, Ryan Wilkins, Nicholas Megalis, Copperfoot and Up Ensemble.
The showcase will also serve as a networking event taking place in an atmosphere designed to promote working relationships between musicians, their audiences, and local businesses.
Sponsors of the event include Scene Magazine, Fox 8, Go Media Inc., The Cleveland Music Coalition, Fortune Drums, Jakprints, Ystop Music, Werdink, Premier Media Inc., Take Manhattan Music, and Banbury Group. Each of these sponsors, as well as representatives from local venues, will have a booth set up inside the complex providing a rare opportunity for musicians and artists to connect with industry professionals.
Ante Up Audio is a full service recording, mixing, and production facility located near Downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Their engineers have been awarded 14 gold, platinum, and multi-platinum record awards. They have worked with internationally known artists including Tori Amos, J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.), Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), The O-Jays, Gerald Levert, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Chuck Mosley (Faith No More), Chimaira, and Jim Brickman. Notable regional clients include Cobra Verde, Kate Voegele, Cactus 12, Will Bowen, and Ryan Wilkins.
“Aside from being a night of great music, this event will finally provide the music community a chance to speak directly with local businesses that can help further their careers,” says studio owner Michael Seifert.
Tickets are on sale now and can be picked up at the Beachland Ballroom or Ante Up Studios located at 1374 E. 36th Street between Superior and St. Clair on the 1st floor.
