So You Want to Be A Recording Engineer/Producer?
 
Ante Up Audio’s Internship Is a great way to start your career in audio engineering and production

Here’s what you’ll need to get started.

First the basics:

1. Have a basic understanding of console and patch-bay signal flow and analog/digital recording techniques.

2. Have a good working knowledge of Pro Tools.

3. Have a great sounding Demo CD.

Now for the hard part:

1. The desire to start as an UNPAID INTERN.

2. The ability to work at least 40 scheduled hours a week as an UNPAID INTERN for a minimum of 3 months.

3. The desire to take the initiative and do the basic cleaning and daily errands needed to keep the studios clean and organized.

4. Have a reliable car to get to the studio and to run errands with. (Gas money will be provided for errand runs only!)

So what do I get out of this?

1. You get to train and learn in 2 world-class studios. Featuring both Neve and SSL consoles, fully loaded Pro Tools HD rigs, Studer 2’’ tape machine, and a killer microphone and outboard gear collection. (Did you check out our equipment list yet)?

2. Be involved with recording projects for some great local and national recording artists. (Did you check out our client list yet)?

3.Train and work with an engineering staff that has over 50 years experience and over a dozen platinum and gold record awards. (Our Staff Engineers have over 10 years of experience teaching in audio education and a passion for sharing our knowledge of recording)

4. When *WE* think your ready, use of the studios during un-booked hours, (so you can practice what you’ve learned)

5. If you are an outstanding intern and we feel that you have the          ears, the dedication, and the people skills to “cut it” we will help          you build a client base and you will be first in line to fill a staff position as          we continue to grow and expand.
